Today we visited Taman safari, just outside of Jakarta in Bogor. The place is just amazing. There is a drive-through area of the park where you get to see animals from around the world. Zebras, llamas, deer, buffalo, alligators, hippos, elephants, monkeys, taipers, and even lions, tigers and bears . . . oh my! Many (except the lions and tigers) are just roaming around the park, and before you enter the park you can buy bananas and carrots and feed the animals when they come up to your car. The kids had a ball feeding the animals, especially Logan. The place is just huge because after the drive through part of the park, there is an elephant show, a baby zoo where you can hold several animals including an orangutan, a dolphin show, a water park, a penguin island, a bird zoo with gorgeous tropical birds, and a real, live, cowboy show! The place was fantastic and we loved it. It was raining while we were there, which made sight-seeing a bit tricky, so I think we'll go back in the Spring during dry season.
