Singapore and More and More

One year ago today I left the First World from the port of Los Angeles to embark upon a crazy, exciting, and challenging, experience abroad. It has been wonderful and I am grateful for this opportunity! And though I have by no means been suffering, I am elated today to return to the First World, for a holiday in Singapore: Beautiful parks and green grass, no traffic or congested roads, fresh air, efficiency and order, plus tap water you can drink - Oh, how I have missed thee!!

These are some pictures from our holiday in Singapore for Christmas!

We ate our traditional Christmas Eve/Day dinner at the same place most Jews do -  a Chinese Restaurant!

The Shangra-La Sentosa hotel, where we stayed, had several Christmas parties and a magic show for kids in which the magician produced Santa at the end!

Singapore has some incredible restaurants.  However, we went to the Singapore Science Center and, it's a bit removed from other things, and the ONLY restaurant anywhere nearby is the McDonalds inside the Science Center.  Yuck!  We were all tired and hungry and so we ate lunch there.  Because my husband works in the field of nutrition, this was our kid's 2nd visit to McDonald's in their lives. (The first was for a birthday party).  Logan was very excited about getting a happy meal and a toy, but he didn't like the food at all.  Natasha didn't either and didn't eat any of it.  Their father was SO proud!Darren and Natasha learn about sounds at the Science Center, Singapore.

The Singapore Zoo was beautiful too!  And, of course we had to see the Pandas, although we are
still partial to our Pandas back in D.C.
