I had such a wonderful birthday in Jakarta with my family. Logan and Natasha made adorable cards and drawings for me, and they even made me breakfast, serving it to me like I was in a restaurant (complete with menu). Plus, Darren and the kids bought me beautiful flowers! Since Jakarta is filled with floods right now, there was not much else to do except make our way down a few clear streets and head for the mall. We also had a fun time there and each of us got to do something we loved - Lollipop playroom for the kids, shopping for me, sushi dinner for Darren (and all of us), and ice cream and cake for everyone! I have also been showered throughout the day with phone calls, emails, texts, Skype calls and FB greetings from around the world. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful, loving family (both immediate and extended), as well as such great friends from around the world. Plus, the rain has stopped (at least for now) and I can't wait to party with my Jakarta peeps for an adult strawberry margarita birthday extravaganza!
We enjoyed having so many friends come to help celebrate my birthday at our house.
